We elected Pete Self as
our new chairman at the AGM. Before that we had a great day at Henstridge
Airfield giving children rides around our special rally stage, all in support of
the CLIC Sergeant charity. See photo showing Gill and John at the stage

The next Rally Test will take place on 20th November at Henstridge Airfield. This is plenty of notice for you to book the date in your diaries, fill in the entry form and send it to Ted Howles. Click on the Rally Test side bar link for details.
The S&SCC is one of the most active
motoring clubs in the Wessex area. We organize, marshal and take part in a wide variety
of motor sport events.
Our premier event of the year is the Great Bustard Rally; this event normally
takes place in April each year and is run as an Endurance Car event. See details
and the results of the 2010 + 2011 rallies via the link on the side of the page.
As a part of this event we raise much needed funds for the Dorset & Somerset Air
Ambulance, this year’s event raised £300.
Other events that are organized by the members include:
A 2 hour endurance Karting event at the Wessex Kart Circuit at Coombe Bisset
just outside of Salisbury.
2 Rally Test’s held at Henstridge Airfield.
The club also attends events organized by “CLIC” the charity for Children with
Cancer .This helps them raise much needed funds to help look after the children.
The club produces a news letter “Full Chat” each month sent out free to members.
Members are welcome to submit articles for the newsletter and the web site.
The S&SCC is a limited company. The members of the committee are responsible for
the day to day running of the club but any member is welcome to get involved in
whatever capacity they wish.
