Rally Test

General Instructions

1)      Please run in numerical order and make sure you are ready to go when instructed. This will make the event run smoother and avoid delays.

2)      The order is arranged as follows;

a)     First run for double drive cars, return to start for second run, carefully by the link road.

AT A MAXIMUM OF 10 MPH

b)    Single run drivers wait at the finish area for the next test.

c)     Second run for double drivers then wait at the finish area for next test

3)      If anyone drops out of order please be prepared to close the gap. Tests will normally be held open for delayed competitors. If you have a problem please let an official know so every effort can be made for you not to miss a test.

4)      To maximise competition time, we will try to start cars at a minimum of 30 second intervals.

5)      Each competitor will be issued with a question sheet. There are 12 questions or untimed tests. Before each test starts the competitor will answer the relevant question on their sheet and show it to the marshal on the start line. (e.g. at the start of test 3 answer the untimed test 3 on a sheet) DO NOT FILL IN THE ANSWERS AHEAD OF THE NEXT TEST. This requirement will ensure that 50% of tests are untimed. Question sheets must be filled in outside the car, and completed sheets should be handed into the results team after the last test.

6)      As part of each test a car number plate will be displayed between 2 drums at the point marked “P C” on the map and narrative. The number will change on each test. It will always be on the left hand side of the car. You will have to slow down or stop and record the number on your time card and continue.

7)      After each test is completed time cards will be collected by field marshals.

8)      Please ensure that the correct competitions number for the driver is displayed on each run. This will help the marshals avoid making mistakes.

9)      Any further queries please ask. We aim to start the tests at 10.00am. There will be a drivers briefing before the first test.

10)   We are not allowed to use the airfield café and toilets so we are providing catering vehicles and toilets on site.

11)   A donation will be made to the Air Ambulance

12)   FAILURE TO OBSERVE THE 10 MPH LIMIT ON THE LINK ROAD WILL RESULT IN EXCLUSION

13)   BEHAVIOUR NOT APPROPRIATE TO THE EVENT WILL RESULT IN EXCLUSION

Official’s decision is final.

Good Luck and Have Fun!
